How to Enter Open Competitions

Most of the open tournaments are listed on tournamentsoftware. including our own doubles open competition, which is usually held in August.
The most popular competitions with KBTC members are the Limerick Open held in CIAC (Catholic Institute Athletics Club) in May, the South of Ireland Open, held in Limerick Lawn TC in mid-June, and the Nenagh Open at the start of July. If you are new to open tournaments, you need to know what grade to play at. Most players start at grade 6 and if they get to finals in competitions at that level, they accumulate points and when enough points are accrued, they are moved up to grade 5 and so on.
