Indoor Tennis Courts Progress to Date

KBTC has over 400 adult members, this represents the largest adult membership of any club in the region. Combined with our following on social media with over 1,400 followers on Facebook and Instagram, the Killaloe Ballina Tennis Club is one of the most focused areas for effective advertising in the region.

The indoor courts being developed at KBTC are the first permanent indoor courts structure in the south of Ireland. This development is the result of over 10 years of funding and development efforts by the members of the KBTC. The development represents an investment of over €1m of which 70% has been raised through national grants and generous donations from members and other supporters. We greatly appreciate your contribution to help us close off the last portion of our fund-raising efforts.

The physical development of the indoor courts is well underway. All of the ground works have been completed and the physical structure itself will be completed by the end of November 2023.

KBTC offers many avenues for social inclusion in the region. We have partnered with local schools and charity organisations to help young teenage girls and boys to get into sport, and tennis in particular, by providing free access to our courts and our tennis coaches. Some other recent initiatives for Senior citizens and Ukrainians refugees were also very successful.
