Winter League Report – ROUND 2

Last year we had Storms Babet, Ciaran and Debi raging through the West of Ireland. This year we have covered courts and a dominance of high-pressure systems! How do you figure?
Only two teams are left with perfect 44-point records: the deadly Cobras are to be feared in Section C and the Hawks in Section D are definitely on the look-out for easy prey!
The Hyenas and Gators each maintained their position at the top of Section A. They played each other and came away with a 19-All draw. This gives them a 5-point lead over the Sharks.
In Section B the wily Foxes, the Dolphins who think they are so clever, the blind Bats, the well-dressed Zebras, the eating-too-much-at-one-time Pelicans and the annoying Hornets are all within four points of each other. This looks like an interesting Section!
In Section C we already have a face-off between the top two teams in the next round. The aforementioned Cobras will play the Raccoons, a team that is lurking only three points behind them.
In Section D the Hawks, Bears and Lions are wondering how a group of waddling Pelicans are in amongst them at the top of the Section! Well, they are!
