Winter League Report – ROUND 6

Hurricane winds, lashing rain and bitterly cold temperatures are what animals have to endure in these winter months in order to survive. And so it is with the animal teams of our Winter League! By the time we finish Round 7, 112 matches will have been played involving 132 players and as we approach the business end of the competition there is an awful lot to play for. Things are tight! The aim for every team is to win their section…to be 
Winter League Champions! In order to do that, one must first qualify for the semi-finals by being in 4th place or higher. So let’s look at the margins between 4th and 5th place in each of the four sections.
In Section A the 4th-placed Hyenas are just three points above the Giraffes and five points above the Eagles.
In Section B just one point separates the Foxes, Pelicans and Zebras.
In Section C the Jags and the Rhinos share 4th place and – “Lo and Behold” – they face each other in Round 7. They might need to check Rule 5 “QUALIFICATION FOR THE KNOCK-OUT STAGES” if they end up on the same number of points after they play!
In Section D the Tigers are just three points behind the Bisons.
